The CM-32P is a "computer music" version of the Roland U-110 synthesizer module with the LCD and buttons removed. It was released as a rompler companion to the CM-32L, which is a computer music version of the Roland MT-32.
Because they were meant to work together, the CM-32P receives data on MIDI channels 11-16 to avoid conflicts with the CM-32L. The CM-32L and CM-32P were combined to create the CM-64 computer music module.
The CM-32P has a slot on the front panel that allows it to accept a single Roland SN-U110 expansion card.
