The CM-32L is a "computer music" version of the Roland MT-32 LA synthesizer module. The LCD and buttons have been removed and 33 additional samples (mostly sound effects) have been added. There was also a CM-32P, which is a computer music version of the Roland U-110 synthesizer. The CM-32L and CM-32P were combined to create the CM-64 computer music module.
