The Audigy is a group of 24-bit sound cards by Creative Labs that are based on the E-Mu 10K2 (CA-0100) processor. It was first released in 2001. It is the next technology iteration beyond the Sound Blaster Live!
Among its features were EAX 3.0 Advanced HD support with the ability to process four simultaneous EAX environments and up to 5.1-channel output.
It was followed by the Audigy 2 in September 2002, and the Audigy line was eventually replaced by the X-Fi line.
