The CS2x is a rompler with a sound engine based on AWM2 (Advanced Wave Memory 2). It has full 779-voice Yamaha XG support.
Although the CS2x was produced with translucent blue knobs, they tend to fall off easily and will often need to be replaced. The synth pictured above with replacement knobs is a good example.
It is powered by an external PA-3B 12-volt adapter rated at 700 mA with a postive tip.
The CS2x is the successor to the CS1x and was followed by the CS6x. It has the same case style as the AN1x, but the two synths have nothing in common sound-wise.
Like its siblings, the CS2x does not have a built-in sequencer. It featured a blank space with a tiny shelf that was meant to be paired with one of the Yamaha sequencers, such as the QY70 or QY100.
