Along with the D-10, D-20, and D-110, the D-20 is a second-generation Linear Arithmetic (LA) synthesizer that uses attack transients coupled with single-cycle waveform samples to generate sound. It is patch-compatible with the other second-generation D-series synths.
The D-5 lacks the onboard effects of its higher-end siblings.
