The DX5 is a 6-operator FM synth with 32 programming algorithms. It is an upgraded version of the Yamaha DX7 with twice the polyphony and a 76-key keyboard. Its MIDI implementation is not ideal and it only transmits 99 as the maximum key velocity instead of 127.
