The K5m is a rackmount version of the Kawai K5. It is an additive synthesizer and sounds are built using 126 adjustable sine wave harmonics. This generally results in decent organ-type sounds, but not much else of value.
It lacks any sort of effects processing. Look into the Kawai K5000R for a similar synthesis architecture and greatly expanded capabilities.
