The EZ-TP is part of a line of educational electronic instruments released by Yamaha. It has built-in songs designed to help teach beginners how to play the trumpet. Because it doesn't require use of a trumpet mouthpiece to play, it has found some popularity among trumpet players who stopped playing due to tooth loss.

It has a built-in 2.5 watt speaker. It can be powered with four AA batteries or PA-3C adapter.
