Released in the late 1980's, the EMT-1 is a simple FM module with 32 ROM voices and 8 notes of polyphony. As a budget synth, the feature set is quite limited. The EMT-10 was released around the same time and is a waveform-based complement to the EMT-1.
Like the PSS-80, PSS-100, and PSS-125 Yamaha home keyboards, it has a "voice variator" button that gives you some rough control over the tone (bright vs. mellow) and envelope (slow vs. fast).
Polyphony: 8 notes

Preset Patches: 32
Dimensions: 218 mm x 215 mm x 44 mm
