The Chroma was designed by ARP. When ARP when bankrupt, CBS's musical instruments division acquired their assets, including the design for this synthesizer. They produced it as the Rhodes Chroma.
It uses CEM3360 chips for its VCAs and CEM3350 chips for its filters.
