The Orbit is an electronic-music-themed rompler. It was released at the same time as E-Mu's other first-generation genre-themed modules, the Planet Phatt and the Carnaval. It was followed by the Orbit 3 a few years later.
The original Orbit can be upgraded to an Orbit v2 via option kit 9095, a set of ROM chips containing the new V2 firmware.
