The Audity 2000 is a ROM-based digital synthesizer that has Z-plane filters derived from those in the E-Mu Morpheus and there are 50 types available. It has 16 arpeggiators, with one for each of its multitimbral parts.
The Audity 2000 came out just before the Proteus 2000 series, which was the next evolution of E-Mu's synthesizer technology. The successor to the Audity is the Xtreme Lead. Proteus 2000 series ROMs are not compatible with the Audity 2000, whose internal ROM is called the "Excelsior ROM".
